Who Are We?

Paediatric Occupational Therapy & Speech Therapy

Play & Thrive Kids Therapy is a warm, family-centred practice based in Melbourne’s South-East, offering mobile occupational therapy and speech therapy for children.

Founded by Sarah, a paediatric Occupational Therapist, our team now includes dedicated Speech Therapists, allowing us to support children across communication, sensory, motor, and daily living skills.

We use a neurodiversity-affirming, strengths-based approach, and we work closely with families to help children play, communicate, learn, and thrive in their everyday environments.

Our multidisciplinary team is passionate about creating fun, meaningful, and confidence-building experiences that honour each child’s individuality and support their goals.

Assessments

We provide comprehensive occupational therapy and speech therapy assessments to understand each child’s strengths, challenges, and functional needs.
Assessments may include sensory processing, behaviour, daily living skills, play, fine and gross motor skills, communication, speech sounds, language development, and social interaction.
Our reports help guide therapy goals and support funding applications where needed.
Occupational Therapy

We offer 1:1 occupational therapy in your child’s home, school, or community space.
Therapy is fun, play-based, neurodiversity-affirming, and individually tailored to support skills such as sensory regulation, motor development, play, self-care and independence, attention, emotional regulation, and school readiness.
Speech Therapy

Our speech therapy sessions support children with communication, early language, speech sounds, social communication, receptive and expressive language, and play interaction skills.
Therapy is personalised, engaging, and designed to help children build confident communication across everyday environments.
Parent/Educator Coaching

We provide coaching to parents and educators to help build confidence and consistency across environments.
These sessions include practical strategies to support communication, sensory needs, play, behaviour, and everyday participation, ensuring everyone is working towards the same goals.
